Even though not all of Singapore celebrates Christmas, we attend an American school so it is a big part of the December activities. The boys had a Christmas concert where they got to sing (it even included Jingle Bells in Mandarin). They did a great job. They also had class parties and had a great time. They each had stockings and all of their classmates contributed to their stockings.
I took a picture with each boy and their teacher and the teacher's assistant. The teachers are usually American, European, New Zealanders, or Australians. The assistants are almost always Malay, which means Muslim, and that's why the head scarves. Some of their clothing is so beautiful. The children love both their teachers and the assistants. And they love the children - the school is so amazing.
